AMD EXPO for with DDR5 overclocking profiles
AMD is finally confirming EXPO technology.
AMD Extended Profiles for Overclocking (EXPO) is an alternative technology to Intel XMP 3.0. The EXPO technology will enable one click DDR5 overclocking for AM5 builds and new Ryzen 7000 desktop series. Gamers using this technology should expect up to 11% better performance at 1080p resolution and lower latency to around 63 nanoseconds.

AMD is also committed to making this standard license and royalty free, which will speed up the adoption and lower the cost. The company announced as many as 15 partner DDR5 kits offering speeds up to 6400 MT/s. Those include ADATA, Corsair, Geil, G.Skill and Kingston memory kits.

Memory manufacturers will soon announce the first memory kits featuring EXPO profiles. Hopefully, those announcements will include pricing information because it will be one of the most important drivers for AMD AM5 platform cost.
