amazon, android, call of duty: mobile season 8 train to nowhere – release date, time and more

Call of Duty: Mobile has revealed the details of its next big update: Season 8 Train to Nowhere.

The season’s big new addition is the mobile debut of a fan-favourite Black Ops II map, a new Battle Royale class, a new perk and an Operation: Spy Hunt themed event. It comes as Warzone Mobile nears release, with Activision setting up social media accounts for the upcoming title.

Here’s everything we know about the upcoming new season ahead of its launch next week.

Call of Duty: Mobile Season 8 Train to Nowhere – release date & time

Activision has declared Season 8 Train to Nowhere will go live on Wednesday, September 7 at 5pm ET, which is 10pm UK time. That’s on both Google Play and the App Store.

There’s a trailer for the new season, of course, which you can watch below.

Call of Duty: Mobile Season 8 – new map, battle royale class and more

The highlight of this season is the addition of the classic map Express. Coming from Black Ops 2, the map takes place around a railway station, with parked trains, ticket offices and long corridors to battle in.

The highlight, however, is the high speed bullet train that whizzes through the map every so often. Don’t get caught on the tracks when it’s speeding through, or you could meet a very abrupt end.

Meanwhile, the new perk this season is Spycraft. You can use this to hack land-based enemy items like Trophy System, trip mines and turrets on the battlefield, and turn them against their own team. Sneaky!

Igniter is the latest battle royale class. As their name suggests, they can lay down fire-based traps sure to put the burn on any enemy Operators foolish enough to wander in. Handily, they also have improved resistance to fire and explosive damage.

Call of Duty: Mobile Season 8 – new themed event, seasonal challenges and battle pass

This season’s themed event is known as Operation: Spy Hunt. Players will have to collect clues by competing in matches, intercept enemy intel and earn rewards.

In battle royale, you’ll also have bonus tasks to eliminate specific enemies. Do so, and you’ll earn additional clues to progress your way through the event and earn more even faster.

Of course, there’ll also be new Seasonal Challenges to earn weapon blueprints, operator skins and more and up to 30,000 battle pass XP.
