Niantic introduces new Pokémon into Pokémon GO constantly. Gothita, the Psychic-type Pokémon from Generation Five’s Pokémon Black and White, was added to the game for 2020’s Psychic Spectacular Event. Though Gothita has been in the game for multiple years, players sadly still can’t find its shiny form. When Niantic will add Gothita’s shiny form is a mystery though it will likely happen during an event like a Community Day or a Spotlight Hour.
How do you catch Gothita in Pokémon GO?

Gothita can be caught in the wild at many different points throughout the year. Gothita is featured most prominently during events, however, like the upcoming Psychic Spectacular 2022 Event, where players can encounter Gothita in the wild. The Pokémon has been featured in most Psychic-type and spooky-themed events since its inclusion back in 2020.
Though Gothita will likely spawn heavily during the event, which runs from Tuesday, September 6, 2022, until Monday, September 12, 2022, they will still not be able to encounter a shiny variant of the Pokémon. Players hoping to get their hands on a shiny form will likely have to wait until a future event. Gothita is a three-tiered evolution Pokémon and it’s not extremely unlikely that it could receive its own Community Day in the future.
