Stick it to the Stickman's official reveal trailer parodies office work while promising genuinely great brawler mechanics.

Stick it to the Stickman, a roguelike stick man brawler, has just been announced with a new reveal trailer. The game will release in 2023, and although no release date has been confirmed yet, fans can wishlist the new title on Steam today.
You can watch the full trailer for Stick it to the Stickman on publisher Devolver Digital’s official YouTube channel here:
Devolver Digital can’t stop getting big wins, after the runaway success of their wildly creative and entertaining title Cult of the Lamb. Now, it looks like Stick it to the Stickman has all of the same indie charm and the publisher’s trademark humor, which is genuinely funny across the board.
The play on office politics is a great approach to the popular stick man designs. Stick men are easy to develop and have been used in a variety of games and YouTube content, notably the classic Animator vs. Animation series from Alan Becker.
The absolute chaos of the gameplay looks like tremendous fun, and the narration really nails the plethora of monotonous, generic language of most jobs on the market. Offices and applications often resort to arbitrary buzz words and jargon, which Stick it to the Stickman has very cleverly parodied today.
This is in line with some previous marketing from Devolver, such as their Summer Game Fest trailer that parodied showcase trailers. This team clearly has an acute understanding of corporate comedy, and it’ll be very entertaining to see that in full effect with the story that’s being told here.
Although footage of some playtesting is available on YouTube, the reveal trailer is a monumental success. It promises some fun gameplay, which also musters the balancing act of juvenile humor and genuine wit.
