Aiming to bring Ford’s racing experience to the gaming world, the automaker together with its esports division, Team Fordzilla, have partnered with gaming provider Next Level Racing, as per Tech Gaming Report.

The product of the partnership is the new GTElite Ford GT Edition cockpit and ES1 Ford GT Edition seat. Both products will be on display at Gamescom 2022, happening on August 24-28 in Cologne, Germany.

GTElite Ford GT Edition cockpit and ES1 Ford GT Edition seat will be available via Next Level Racing retail channel in the second half of October.

Cockpit and Seat Will Give Gamers an Authentic Driving Experience

The GTElite Ford GT Edition cockpit and ES1 Ford GT Edition seat are available separately.

The GTElite Ford GT Edition cockpit is made of a blue anodized aluminum frame. The frame features laser-engraved Ford branding. For an authentic driving experience, it offers adaptive positioning.

Gamers can easily find the perfect racing position as the entire rig features a number of adjustability, according to Motor1. The rig also includes the height adjustable shock absorbing feet.

Moreover, the pedal’s height, distance, and angle can be adjusted for the gamer’s maximum comfort.

According to Next Level Racing, the rig is compatible with the major wheel, shifter, and pedal manufacturers like Fanatec, Logitec, Thrustmaster, Moza, and others.

Meanwhile, the ES1 Ford GT Edition seat has the blue Team Fordzilla-branded seat belts, and a Ford GT and Team Fordzilla-branded anti-slip mat. In addition, gamers would find an embossed Ford GT logo on the headrest of the seat.

According to Tech Gaming Report, the seat was intentionally developed that way to provide gamers having a large waist a firm grip and a comfortable seat.

The racing cabin can accommodate a weight of up to 250 kilograms. As long as the side seats are supported, the ES1 Ford GT Edition seat can also be used in other game booths.

Team Fordzilla and Next Level Racing Bring Racing Experience to Next Level

The rig and seat will be sold separately. Both will go on sale via Next Level Racing retail channel this October. According to the website, gamers can get the rig and rails for $799.

On the other hand, seat will cost an extra $499. While the GTElite Ford GT Edition cockpit and ES1 Ford GT Edition seat are quiet expensive, it will be a good addition to one’s gaming setup as it will bring the racing experience to the next level.

Since Team Fordzilla was created in 2019, it has been delivering its mission of “exploring and merging the boundaries of the real and virtual worlds.”

Thus, its recent partnership with Next Level Racing shows its effort of carrying out its mission by offering a more immersive physical environment to gamers. This makes computer racing game a realistic and enjoyable experience.

On the other hand, for more than a decade since Next Level Racing was founded in 2009, it has been supporting “racing and flight simulation” enthusiasts through its innovative products.
