Buzz Lightyear is back in an all-new adventure that explores the origin story of Andy’s favorite Space Ranger. The spinoff “doesn’t live up to Pixar’s usual standards,” according to our Lightyear review, yet it’s still a fun watch with “striking visuals [and] strong performances” that Toy Story fans are sure to enjoy.

Where to Watch Lightyear

Lightyear started playing in theaters on June 17. To find when and where you can watch the film, check the local showtimes at the major theaters below:

When Will Lightyear Be Available to Stream?

Lightyear is not currently available to stream online, but will eventually be released on Disney Plus. While there’s no official streaming date yet, we know Disney typically has a 30- or 45-day window of theatrical exclusivity, which would put Lightyear’s potential streaming date between July 17 and August 1.

Where to Watch Toy Story

If you’d like to catch up on the previously released adventures of Buzz Lightyear as part of the Toy Story franchise, you have a few options. If you currently have a Disney Plus subscription, you can stream the Toy Story movies for free on the platform.
