Core i9-13900K crosses 2200 points in Geekbench 5 with 5.8 GHz clock

Intel’s 24 core Raptor Lake CPU has been spotted on Geekbench (again), but this time with a higher clock.

intel core i9-13900k boosts up to 5.8 ghz in a new leak, 54% faster multi-core than ryzen 9 5950x

The flagship Core CPU from the upcoming 13th Gen series has been tested with the Geekbench 5 software. This time the CPU reportedly has maximum clock speed of 5.52 GHz, but the detailed score info shows it actually boosted a lot higher. According to the detailed benchmark data, the processor boost up to 5.79 GHz and has remained in 5.7 GHz state for the vast majority of the test.

The processor has been tested with ASRock Z690 motherboard which is compatible with DDR5 memory. One can only guess though if the higher clock speed is a result of manual overclocking or this was a stock CPU tested without power limits.

More importantly, this test result pushes the bar higher to 2212 points single-core and 25497 multi-core. Compared to Geekbench official (average) data for Ryzen 9 5950X, that’s 32% and 54% higher performance respectively.

Intel Raptor Lake series are set to be announced on September 28th during Intel Innovation event. The new series are rumored to be officially released on October 17th. At least three K-series SKUs are expected on that day: 13900K, 13700K and 13600K. Those are set to compete with AMD Ryzen 7000 SKUs: 7950X, 7900X, 7700X and 7600X which are to launch a month sooner (September 15th).
