windows, microsoft, mad world – age of darkness: now accepting closed beta testers

Be one of the first to try the game. Jandisoft

The application for testers of the closed beta test of the upcoming MMORPG Mad World – Age of Darkness is now open. The application ends on September 13, after which participants are selected through a draw system. The CBT is scheduled from September 15 to September 21.

The upcoming CBT is to test improvements made based on feedback data gained from the final alpha test held last May. The test will focus on improvements in combat controls, balance reforms, and the completeness and convenience of different systems. If you’re interested, you can sign up for the CBT here.

The game offers players a narrative of characters who live in a dark and grim world. The overarching theme is finding a small hope in an apocalyptic world where human civilization went extinct. Against this backdrop, players get to develop their own customizable characters to defeat evil.

Features of the game include the growth system, which allows for a high degree of freedom and stylish action controls. In addition, the game uses new web technology, where the game can be played without the need for a separate installation. This ensures that the game is accessible anywhere, whenever a web browser is available.

Other features of the game are:

  • Dynamic Combat/Class Switch on the Fly
    • The combat system allows movement while attacking.
      • This makes the combat more visceral and active on the player’s end.
    • Target lock-on feature for taking action easier.
    • Players can freely switch between six weapon types, like swords, bows, and staves.
      • Players can try to find a combat style that they like.
  • Act Boss Raid/Ancient Boss
    • For each Act, the story-based quests revolve around the powerful boss monster.
    • A Raid system connected to the boss monster also takes place in each act.
    • Eliminate the boss with trusted comrades and acquire materials for some serious equipment.
  • Skill Mastery/Potential Mastery
    • The Potential system allows the characters to lead the path they want.
    • Characters are enhanced and transformed through potential mastery.
    • Based on the primary weapon, players can design which potential direction their characters should take.

The PC system requirements are:

  • Minimum
    • OS: Windows 7 or newer
    • Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400, 3 GHz or higher
    • Memory: 4 GB RAM
    • Graphics: GeForce GTX 1030 (2 GB VRAM)
