how to, madden 23: how to strip the ball

With Madden 23 being out for a week, some of you that have bought the game might be still struggling with understanding the ways you implement certain moves to get the results you want. This might not only apply on offense, but also on defense.

Defensively, forcing turnovers is going to influence the amount of success you can achieve throughout the course of game. This can be done by completing interceptions, generating big hits on players to knock the ball free, or stripping the ball from your opponents hands.

In this latest issue of ‘How To’s’, we’re going to breakdown the importance of stripping the ball from the ball carrier to force fumbles. Some defensive moves contain more control than others. And the strip move in Madden 23, is one of the best to rely on considering the control it places in the users hands to execute it precisely.

Here’s a look at the controls for how to strip the ball in Madden 23.

How to strip the ball in Madden 23

PlayStation: R1

Xbox: RB

PC: Space Bar

Additional Information: The most important tip to keep in mind when pulling off the strip move in Madden 23, is that you have to time it prior to completing your hit and make sure you do so when you’re close to the ball carrier. Because the defensive player will need to wind up or make an attempt to punch the ball out, the timing is crucial.

Keep in mind that some players will be harder to force fumbles from. For example, knocking the ball out from the quarterbacks hands will be much easier than doing so to a running back.

As a result, be sure to review the carrying ratings for the offensive players you’re facing. This will grant you better chance of knowing how difficult it will be to knock out the ball from certain players when going for a strip.
