Mario Kart has a pair of new racers.. Breaking Bad’s Walter White and Jessie Pinkman.
Okay, they aren’t actually official additions; instead, YouTuber ChipTuner has yanked them out of Breaking Bad, AMC’s now-concluded meth-cooking, pizza-hurling series and, via the gift of video editing, put them into Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
The result is an awful lot of fun, partly because of the contrast between White and Pinkman. White who, in the series, goes from maths teacher to drug lord, is constantly on edge while Pinkman is, by contrast, incredibly chilled.
It’s not just the case that ChipTuner has superimposed the pair’s faces over a couple of racers, either. Not unlike their previous, brilliant Peter Parker/Mario Kart mash-up, they’ve gone through Breaking Bad to pick out clips of White driving about, and then mixed that up with footage of the game.
So, you end up with the pair racing around Rainbow Road which, suspended in space, is one of the game’s more mind-bending tracks. Who wins? You’ll have to find out for yourself, by watching the video above.
