Stop us if you have heard this one before, but rumours of the long-awaited reveal of that Silent Hill 2 revival have begun to swirl again, with reliable folks indicating that we will find out more sometime in September.
Andy Robinson over at VGC has heard from several sources that a reveal is imminent and sooner than he had anticipated. In addition, noted scribe and industry insider Jeff Grubb popped into the replies to fan the flames further, getting our hopes up and our hype levels ever-so-slightly elevated:
What does it all mean? Well, we will have to wait and see, as we have been burned before. Tokyo Games Show is coming up, and while a new game from a “world-loved series” is expected to be announced by Konami, VGC again reports that it is expected to be something smaller, rather than something related to the Castlevania, Silent Hill or Metal Gear Solid revival projects supposedly in the works.
So could that mean we do get a PlayStation Showcase after all? It has been a full year, and Sony typically does hold these events in September. We will just have to wait and see, so watch this space, and speculate wildly in the comments section below.
