In spite of mixed reviews, the open world reboot has seen solid launch sales in the UK, managing almost five times as much as developer Volition's last game.

The Saints Row reboot launched last week, and was received with mixed reviews at best, though it seems to have got off to a solid start where sales are concerned. As per the latest weekly data for physical sales in the UK released by the Gfk, Volition’s open world game has topped the UK charts on debut. As per GamesIndustry’s Christopher Dring on Twitter, the game has sold nearly five times as much physically at launch as the developer’s last game, which was 2017’s Agents of Mayhem.
Beyond that, much of the top 10 is occupied by games that have generally been in these charts on a weekly basis. Horizon Forbidden West continues to sell well and is sitting in second place, while fellow PlayStation exclusive Gran Turismo 7 comes in at No. 8. Meanwhile, a bunch of first party Nintendo Switch titles are also in the charts, including the likes of Nintendo Switch Sports, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and Pokemon Legends: Arceus.
Mineacraft and Grand Theft Auto 5 are, more often than not, found somewhere in the top 10, as they are in this week’s charts as well, while LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga slots in at the tail end of the charts.
