EA is planning to reveal Skate 4 next month, according to journalist Tom Henderson (via Try Hard).
Henderson reports that the long-awaited next entry in the Skate franchise has been undergoing “extensive playtesting” in recent months, and apparently is further along in development than many players might have expected.
The report also suggests that Skate 4 might simply be titled ‘skate.’ and that we’ll get our first look at official in-game of the game during the reveal next month. The last time we saw anything about the game was a behind-the-scenes teaser revealed ahead of last year’s EA Play Live.
Pre-alpha footage of Skate 4 leaked earlier this year, which looked pretty rough, but Henderson’s sources suggested that the early footage was already months old by the time it leaked.
This news comes shortly after Tony Hawk revealed that a planned Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 remaster was scrapped by Activision after it merged developer Vicarious Visions into Blizzard.
