android, steins; gate updates android version with english localization

One of the most legendary visual novels ever created is finally launching onto Android after previously only being available in English for iOS. Entitled Steins; Gate, this classic story sees you take on a very emotional sci-fi tale with themes of existentialism, love, and life as a whole, all within the framework of a time travel device.

Steins; Gate is a series that has existed for quite some time, and has ranged from being available on everything from iOS to PC and even the Nintendo Switch. Not to mention, the series even has an anime adaptation that is known for being one of the best sci-fi anime series out there, so there’s a massive pedigree here. Beyond Steins; Gate, which is the first of the series, the 6 other titles technically fall within the science adventure series, which are all Spike Chunsoft published sci-fi visual novels with a loosely connected story.

As for Steins; Gate in particular, however, you’ll experience the tale of the mad scientist Rintaro Okabe and his group of friends, who utilizes a device that is capable of sending messages to the past with one of their inventions. Together with the genius Kurisu Makise, they then stumble upon a dark, all-encompassing conspiracy led by a secret organization.

Steins; Gate then becomes a very intelligent, intriguing, and deep story that covers a whole massive load of themes, some of which are quite relevant to modern-day society like a commentary on media consumption. This led to it becoming a staple amongst any visual novel fan’s library, and it still stands as one of the most recognizable names in the genre, up there with the likes of Danganronpa or Ace Attorney.

Technically speaking, Stens; Gate has been available on Android for quite some time, but up until today it was only available to play in Japanese. Now, English-speaking Android players will be able to experience the phenomenal story!
